After a long search, we located a small 3 acre property with irrigation water rights north of Greeley. This was going to be the spot that we started our business. For the next 4 years we planned, and worked to build up our farm. We learned what was sustainable in the area and in the soil, we learned water conservation techniques, and we learned in producing the best crops ever without using any petroleum based fertilizers, and without using any pesticides.
We began experimenting with Hops, learning how they grew, and how they would produce in the Colorado summers. With the growth of the craft brewery industry in Colorado, we worked through the planning to take growing hops to the next level.
